[ THE BEGINNING | April 2019]
At the beginning there was a perfect space for a lot of ideas. I love this place because it has a special atmosphere of old industrial objects and buildings. It inspires and young and special dreams can grow.
[ CONSTRUCTION | May 2019]
With the support of Holz Possling I can start with a lot of wood. Also the owner of the Altes Kesselhaus Marzahn gave me a lot of old wood and pallets with which I can construct the raised beds for the urban garden and the food forrest. So I can upcycle material and safe money. Upcycling and recycling is for me an important sustainable idea and I try as much as I can to integrate old stuff.
[ The construction of a visitor’s area ]
In the urban garden I create a space for a break for my visitors. If you can make a short break between a pleasant smell of flowers you can come down and enjoy the atmosphere. The high speed of life disappears and you have the room to see the details, the plants, the inspiration and the possibilities.
To construct this space I build plasticfree circular raised beds and use old pallets. Around the pallets I set up the raised beds and small pots with plants.
[ The construction of the food forrest ]
At the beginning were on the narrow stripe only the plants which have wildly grown. Although it was a nice sight, I wanted to make more with the surface and use the available structure. I wanted to receive the trees absolutely and integrate them as a part of the food forest, because an important function comes up to them.
Beside the production of cherries and elder they donate to my plants shade. They are a part of an ecosystem in which living beings settle and offer in one taking and giving for all living beings a living space.
Because everything had run wild, it has cost me a lot of work to edit the segment in such a way that there raised beds can be built. But I made it and now stand here raised beds in which everything can grow and thrives.
[ The construction of the zero waste space]
The area in front of the entrance of my Tiny House is developed to an exhibition area. Here I introduce between urbane raised beds my Zero Waste Installations to which the ZERO WASTE KITCHEN, the ZERO WASTE BATHROOM and other installations belong in which old methods of the water recycling are processed.
I work with methods which use natural materials like sewage plants, effective micro-organisms or also algae to recycle grey water again. With natural materials originates no plastic garbage which must be disposed over and over again and the raw materials are growing again.
